Mission, vision and values

The KCA acts in the public interest, drawing on the international practice of leading actuarial organisations.

MISSION

To develop and regulate the actuarial profession in the Republic of Kazakhstan — to set professional standards, a qualification and ethics system, and to ensure the trust of society, the state and the market in the work of the actuary.

VISION

To make Kazakhstan's actuarial profession mature, recognised and integrated into the international actuarial infrastructure — at the level of the practice of SOA, IFoA, CAS and IAA.

Professional decisions are made independently of employers, commercial entities and government bodies.

Qualification, certification and oversight of standards are based on professional criteria, not the interests of parties.

Foundational and continuing education, examinations and qualification procedures are the basis for the quality of services.

At the heart of the actuary's work lies the Code: integrity, good faith, confidentiality and responsibility to society.

WHAT THE KCA IS NOT
  • The KCA is not an employer and is not a participant in the labour market; it does not allocate professionals or interfere in employment relations;
  • The KCA does not tie actuaries to particular organisations and does not commercialise access to participants;
  • Access to professional projects is voluntary and proceeds through the Chamber's transparent system.

These boundaries are the guarantee of the profession's independence and objectivity.

Founding assembly
The founding General Meeting of ten founders adopts the Chamber's Charter and the public-association model.

Filing
The founding documents are filed with the Almaty City Department of Justice.
